Landing directly between shoegaze and trip-hop, this classic album comprised of golden-brown beats and euphoric waves of guitar is introspective, pensive and darkly evocative.
The album was crowned Rock LP Of The Year by Melody Maker Magazine in 1997, and was essentially the result of members Martha & Lawrence learning how to play with the software and samplers which were becoming more accessible as the millennium drew nearer- an experiment which would continue to blue the boundaries of rock music, and help establish the pair as one of the key American post-rock bands.
