Essential post-disco bombs from one of the UK’s most vital record labels, who up until 1992, released artists such as New Order, Happy Mondays, Durutti Column and A Certain Ratio. Whilst a huge amount of ground is covered within those four artists alone, this record focuses less on the canon of Punk & New Wave, and more so on it’s influence on the discotheque.

This record demonstrates a turning point in dance music, where rules were being broken and scenes melting together to liberating affect. From the robotic electro of Blackpool’s ‘Section 25’, through to the New York loft party funk of ‘Quando Quango’, this record showcases the vibrant, cross-cultural message of dancefloors in the 1980’s.
