The soundtrack to a desert sunset at the ‘Cochilo’ chillout stage of Portugal’s Waking Life Festival. Recorded live from 1900 til 2200 as an opener for Nathan Fake’s headline slot, this mix moves from dusty psychedelic guitar tracks, through to subdued global rhythms and euphoric downtempo electronica.
This was my penultimate pre-covid performance, and one that has a firm place in my heart as I look back to the ground level stage upon a sandy floor, sheltered amongst hand built wooden architecture which would ascend high above the festival, allowing for views of a majestic lake and vast panoramas.
